Our Story
VINCENT VINES is the passion project of Daniel & Aubrey Duerr, wine lovers who planted a dream of Merlot in their Carmel Valley backyard and never looked back. They both have wine and farming in their blood. A perpetual green thumb, Aubrey spent her high school years around Napa, then moved to Santa Cruz for university. An early micro-brewer, Daniel grew up on both sides of the Santa Cruz Mountains with wineries everywhere. When life brought them together, wine country became a shared obsession, followed by a move to Carmel Valley.
There was no grand plan — just a love of great wine, the challenge of a sun-soaked hillside of rocks & weeds, some divine guidance, and a stubborn determination to show the world the exceptional wines this terroir could create. Encouraged by friends & family near and afar, a few rows became a few harvests, passion became craft, and a garagiste Merlot became a winery.
The Journey
2012
The Duerr Family moved to Carmel Valley and fell hard for its granite hills, sunny days, and winery life — the seed had been planted.

2016
With a patch of dirt and a lot of grit, we put in our Estate Merlot vineyard of 257 vines by hand — and toasted every row.
2021
Life led us to Boca Raton, Florida. Though we left wine country, we found a vibrant wine culture — and an appetite for our small-batch wines.
2024
Encouraged by friends who loved our wines, a winery was born — the Founders Circle was first to share in the bounty.
2026
Ten years after first planting, we added 100 more vines — eventually doubling Estate Merlot production to two barrels a year.

What We Believe
No machines, no synthetics — every vine pruned, tended and picked by hand. We work with the land, keeping the vineyard healthy for vintages to come.
Old‑world methods, small lots and nothing added to hide what the vineyard gave us. What you taste is the place, the season and the care we put in.
