CVVC is an exquisite boutique vacation rental and micro-winery nestled in the Carmel Valley AVA of Monterey County, California. The winery began as a humble "garagistes" project, utilizing grapes from the tiny Merlot vineyard planted in May 2016. With just 257 vines on a 4x4 foot spacing, all work from tending to harvesting is manual. Yet, the initial three vintages, benefiting from Cachagua's Bordeaux-like climate, showed great promise, leading to the establishment of CVVC, LLC in Summer 2024.
CVVC markets its boutique wines under the VINCENT VINES brand to an exclusive wine club of discerning wine lovers throughout the United States, and to guests staying on site at the Carmel Valley Vineyard Chateau. The label pays homage to the great impressionist Vincent van Gogh's iconic Self Portrait with Grey Felt Hat. An abstract wordplay for "wine of a hundred vines", VINCENT VINES embodies an ethos where exceptional wines are created from tiny vineyards with big personalities.
In addition to its Estate Bottled Merlot, CVVC has added a Cabernet Sauvignon to the lineup. Farmed organically at a neighboring vineyard in Carmel Valley, the first release is scheduled for Spring 2026.
